Nurse Aide (Carlos Rosario)
Our Nurse Aide Training program is a 5-month, 200 hours of classroom instruction along with lab skills practice sessions, prepares students to become certified nurse aides licensed in the District of Columbia. Classes are taught by a registered nurse instructor and topics include medical terminology, basic caretaking skills, and a fundamental understanding of healthcare. The program requires a 40 hour clinical experience, which is held at a local clinical partner site for 10 days during the semester. Classes are hybrid at the Sonia Gutierrez Campus- Morning Classes (Monday-Thursday: 9:00-11:30am)Evening Classes (Monday-Thursday: 6:00-8:30pm), Practicum mid semester (5 days – 7:00am-3:00pm)

Requirements:
Must be 18+ years of age
Must be a DC resident and able to provide proof
High school diploma/GED
Pass a criminal background check/ drug test to be completed at a local clinic/testing site, and DC Board of Nursing mandated immunizations

Pass the Internal Entrance Exam (Math, English, and Computer Basics 2)
