Advanced Internship Program (AIP)

OSSE’s Advanced Internship Program (AIP) is an opportunity for Career and Technical Education (CTE) students to participate in paid and credit-bearing internships aligned with their CTE program of study during the school year. Through AIP, students can gain valuable real-world work experience, receive professional mentorship, and are supported to develop transferable workplace skills.

AIP Eligibility

To be eligible for AIP, students must:

  • Be a DC resident
  • Be a DC high school senior or junior (priority given to seniors)
  • Have completed at least the first and second-level courses in their CTE program of study

Program Requirements

To participate in AIP, students must:

  • Register by the deadline
  • Submit an updated resume
  • Participate in interview process with potential employers
  • Complete required onboarding steps
  • Attend student orientation and pre-internship programming
