DC residents are eligible for this training program that teaches the skills necessary to prepare for and achieve CompTIA A+ certification. The program is 20 weeks long M-F, 6-9pm. UPO courses offer a minimum $900 attendance stipend. Some trainings may offer DOES pay, tokens for transportation, and access to UPO resources like housing and daycare.

Position/Opportunity: IT Help Desk and Application Support (UPO)

Requirements:

    • Must be 18+ years of age, have a DC ID, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, HS Diploma or GED, Proof of Residency, and Proof of Income or Certify No Income.   
    • CASAS Assessment required. Can be conducted at both intake sites and during registration. 
    • Background check, drug test, and mental health screening.
