Electrical Technician (UPO)
Get trained in electrical theory, conduit installation, how to wire a house, and other control, safety, and troubleshooting techniques. The program is 20 weeks long M-F, 6-9pm. UPO courses offer a minimum $900 attendance stipend. Some trainings may offer DOES pay, tokens for transportation, and access to UPO resources like housing and daycare.

Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years of age, have a DC ID, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, HS Diploma or GED, Proof of Residency, and Proof of Income or Certify No Income.
- CASAS Assessment required. Can be conducted at both intake sites and during registration.
- Background check, drug test, and mental health screening.

There will be a cohort starting October 2024, followed by additional cohorts starting in January 2025, April 2025 and June 2025.
