This is an excellent option for applicants currently working in an entry-level cooking position that display the desire to build proficiency in all stations of a food service operation.This 5-month skills training program will prepare our students for a career in food services, restaurants, and the hospitality industry. The course emphasizes workplace organizational skills, food production, menu planning, customer service skills, and team-building skills that can be applied in a wide variety of settings. Classes are in-person at the Sonia Gutierrez Campus- Morning (Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-12:30pm)Evening (Monday-Thursday: 5:30-9:00pm) Course Content Summary Production planning & preparation, Recipe scaling, Station management, Menu development, Nutrition planning, Kitchen communications, Catering essentials, Customer Service, Employment Readiness, Digital Literacy, Sexual Harassment Prevention & Unconscious Bias training in the Hospitality Industry. Must have basic culinary experience or successful completion of the Food Service Principles course
