Career Bridge Eligibility
To be eligible for Career Bridge, students must:
- Be a graduating DCPS high school senior
- Be willing & able to participate after school from January-May (August if student continues through summer)
- Ideally be eligible for early release (not required)
- Complete and submit all required documents
Student Benefits
Career Bridge participants will…
- Gain entry-level experience in high-wage high demand career industries
- Have the opportunity to explore career interests and develop transferrable workplace skills
- Earn $17/hour working 8 hours a week, with additional opportunities to earn up to $4,000!
- Receive one-on-one coaching
- Build their resume
Program Timeline
To participate in Career Bridge, students must:
- Complete the student interest form (due November 17)
- Follow the required opt-in steps & document submission (due December 22)
- Participate in Professional Development Training Camp beginning January 16
- Consistently work 8 hours per week throughout internship period (Jan-May)
