Qualifications/Skills:

  • Age: Applicants must be at least 17 years old. The standard maximum age for enlistment is 35, with waivers available on a case-by-case basis for qualified individuals up to age 42.

  • Citizenship/Status: U.S. Citizenship or a permanent resident (Green Card) holder may be eligible.
  • Screening: Applicants must pass a thorough background check, drug screening, and the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) entrance assessment.

Key Benefits Available:

  • State Tuition Assistance (D.C. TA): Can provide up to $20,000 for tuition and an additional $500 for fees annually, usable at various schools in the National Capital Region and nationwide.
