Barbering/Cosmetology Instructor (Bennett Career Institute)

The Instructor Course at Bennett Career Institute is a comprehensive 1000-clock-hour program designed to enhance the skills acquired in the General Cosmetology Course or General Barbering Course. In addition to refining practical skills, students will receive training in educational techniques, curriculum development, and classroom management. Instruction on the use of instructional aids, advertising, merchandising, and record-keeping techniques is also included. The program is designed to prepare students to become proficient instructors in their chosen field. After completing the program and passing the DC State Board of Cosmetologists/Barber-Stylist Instructor Examination for licensure, students will be qualified to pursue employment as instructors in a school of cosmetology or barbering.
